The show of Jim’s figurescape prints that we previously announced had to be rescheduled by the venue.  It will happen in July and August at Talula, 802 Atlas Avenue, Madison WI from July 3 through September 4 with an opening reception 3PM – 7PM Sunday July 11.  Talula is normally open 11AM – 2AM.

Here’s an updated version of Jim Schwall’s music calendar.  The MSG Song Showdowns are Madison Songwriters Guild song contests, kind of an open mic with monthly winners/prizes and a song-of-the-year showdown in December.  Jim starts each one with a few solo tunes.

Friday, January 14 – Jim joins Rich Baumann and half-a-dozen other songwriters for a show at Wild Hog in the Woods Coffeehouse, held at the Wilmar Center, Madison, 8:00 PM.

Sunday, January 16, Harmony Bar & Grill, Madison, 7:00 – Cajun Strangers, Cajun music dance, $7 suggested donation, Cajun dance lesson at 6:30.

Monday, January 24, Crystal Corner, Madison, 9:30 – Jim solo, no cover.

Monday February 14, Crystal Corner, 9:30 – Bar Time Lovers, no cover.

Friday, February 25, Wild Hog in the Woods, Wilmar Center, 8:00 – Jim solo.

Sunday, February 27, Harmony Bar & Grill, 7:00 – Cajun Strangers.

Monday, February 28, Crystal Corner, 9:30 – Jim solo, no cover.

Solo means Jim playing his own songs on acoustic 6- and 12-string guitars.  Cajun Strangers is a five-piece Cajun band with Jim playing bass.  Siegel-Schwall is a re-union of Jim’s 70’s band with Corky Siegel, Rollow Radford and Sam Lay.  SoDangYang is a five-piece rock band featuring singer/songwriter Marques Bovre with Jim on electric guitar and accordion.
